The Hayling Clinic remains open and I am continuing to work there as usual on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons by appointment. See the Acupuncture page for more information.
Some Pilates classes are back. See the Pilates page for more information.
I worked as a solicitor in central London for most of my career and like many people, first turned to acupuncture out of desperation. I was so fed up of feeling ill all the time and, while Western medicine helped with acute symptoms, I wanted to get to the root of the problem.
I first had treatment to help with migraines. The beneficial effect it had impressed me so much that I left my successful legal career and retrained as an acupuncturist.
The training takes 3 years at degree level and includes studying Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as some aspects of Western medicine. I am also qualified in facial cosmetic and auricular (ear) acupuncture.
Also, I experienced back pain for many years before discovering Pilates. Practising Pilates has prevented me from requiring further spinal surgery and from suffering daily pain.
You can see that I have good reason to be enthusiastic about what I do!
I am fully insured, a member of The Acupuncture Society and a member of The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), so you can be confident that I comply with the professional standards required of those bodies.
